Local bridge utility — install, connect, and troubleshoot so your hardware wallet talks to web apps and Trezor Suite.

What is Trezõr® brïdge®?

A lightweight local application that enables secure USB communication between your browser/Desktop Suite and a Trezor-compatible hardware wallet. It listens on a local port and forwards requests from trusted local applications to the device.

Quick install

  1. Download the Bridge installer for your OS from the official source.
  2. Run the installer and follow OS-specific prompts (Windows/macOS/Linux).
  3. After install, Bridge runs in the background and exposes a local endpoint (commonly 127.0.0.1:21325).
  4. Plug in your hardware wallet and open the web app or Suite — the app should detect it automatically.

Safety notes

  • Bridge runs locally and does not send your keys or seed off your machine.
  • Only download installers from the official domain; verify signatures where offered.
  • If you suspect tampering or unexpected network activity, stop Bridge and investigate system processes.

Troubleshooting highlights

  • If the device is not detected, try another USB cable/port and restart Bridge.
  • On macOS allow the installer in System Preferences → Security & Privacy if blocked.
  • On Linux ensure udev rules and permissions are correctly installed for USB access.
  • Close other wallet apps to avoid port conflicts; only one app should access the device at a time.
